This resource is the result of a experiential learning project at the University of Guelph, where students enrolled in HK*4510: Teaching, Learning, and Knowledge Transfer for the purpose of creating an OER that would support subsequent groups of students in HK*2810: Human Physiology I and HK*3810: Human Physiology II. The project team consisted of Dr. Coral Murrant, Dr. Kerry Ritchie, Dr. Justine Tishinsky, and Ali Versluis, with contributions from Claire Coulter.
This OER reflects the writing, research, perspectives, and voices of students who enrolled in the course over the three years it was offered (Fall 2018 – Winter 2021), and has been only very minimally edited by Drs. Murrant and Ritchie to ensure it is free from typos, grammar, and other formatting issues.
We are grateful to have received funding from the Office of the Associate Vice Provost Academic, McLaughlin Library, Open Learning and Educational Support, the College of Biological Science through their Office of Educational Scholarship and Practice, and the Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, to fully realize this project.
